Nasim Benelkour is a Professional Voice Actor currently based in Dallas, TX. Being born in New York and moving to Florida early in his youth, his journey in acting started at an incredibly young age. At 12 years old, Nasim's passion for creation was curated through the media he consumed, including both video games and animation. That drive he possessed was first expressed in stop-motion animation, which was his first-ever creative endeavor. Despite heavily enjoying it throughout the years, he couldn't truly fall in love with its process, which would eventually lead him to give up pursuing it. He tried to pursue other creative outlets, such as on-camera acting, theater, modeling, and content creation. Although he found success in these passions, he couldn't truly put his full heart into them. But even so, he would later stumble upon another creative medium, which would not only become his one and only creative obsession, but develop into a full-blown career, voice-over.

 

As one of the youngest voice-over actors in their generation to start working in the anime dubbing industry, with their first gig in the genre received at just eighteen years old, their dedication to the craft could be seen by anyone. Their work in this selected genre is nothing short of impressive, booking one of their most well-known roles, Piccolo (MINI) in the English Dub of Dragon Ball DAIMA, only one year after starting their journey in the dubbing industry.

During his time in the space, Nasim's voice can be heard in a variety of prolific projects, most prominently spanning into Anime, Animation, and Video Games, with over 200+ credits overall. Counting the role previously mentioned, this would also notably include Kazuhiro Hosoya & Kishida in Detective Conan, Konza in Gachiakuta, Ronald Olegovich Novikov in WEBTOON's Jackson's Diary, Hiroto Mori in Kaiju No. 8, Nadir in Sugar Apple Fairy Tale, Albert De Saloum in The 7th Prince, Jeet in One Piece, as well as many more. Having a very diverse background, being African American, Puerto Rican, and Moroccan, Nasim has used his cultural experience to authentically bring some roles of his to life. One of the most notable examples would be his lead role as a Middle Eastern character in the first-person horror video game, Ali in The Veild Ones. His heritage and being able to have the opportunity to represent it through his work mean the world to him.

Though voiceover is his absolute love and passion, he takes the time out of his day to indulge in playing video games as well as watching movies and shows. He is also a very big sports fan, specifically wrestling and basketball. Outside of that, Nasim takes the time to post convention videos and funny content via his TikTok, which has amassed over 65.2 thousand followers and over 900 thousand overall likes!
